This is the personal portfolio of Sean (SF), a software engineer and designer. This page explains what is collected when you visit the site or get in touch, and how it is handled. I am the data controller for the information described here.
Who I am

Cookies
This site does not use tracking, advertising or profiling cookies. The only thing stored on your device is a small preference that remembers you have seen the privacy notice, so it does not reappear on every visit. It is functional and is not used to track you.
Analytics
Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights are used to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used and how quickly it loads. They are cookieless: they set no cookies, build no profile of you and do not follow you across other websites. The data is aggregated and does not identify individual visitors.
When you get in touch
If you email me, I receive your email address and anything you choose to include in your message. I use this only to reply and, if we go on to work together, to carry out that work. The lawful basis is my legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and, where a project starts, taking steps to enter into a contract.
Who it is shared with
Your data is never sold or shared for advertising. The site is hosted by Vercel, which also provides the analytics above and processes data only to provide those services.
How long it is kept
Emails are kept for as long as they are needed to deal with your enquiry and for my own records, then deleted when they are no longer needed.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for access to the personal data held about you, and for it to be corrected, erased, restricted or ported, and you can object to how it is used. To do any of these, email hello@sfcreates.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk), though I would appreciate the chance to help first.
Changes
This policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will appear on this page with a revised date.
